About Jennifer Perez

Jennifer Perez, LPC-Associate
Supervised by Norma Reyes, Phd., LPC-S

Hey there, I’m Jennifer!

My own life has also taught me that our experiences, families, relationships, and even generational patterns can have a powerful impact on the way we see ourselves and the choices we make. That's one of the reasons I believe so strongly that therapy is about having a space where you can be heard, gain clarity, understand yourself on a deeper level, and decide what you want to do differently.

Therapy Style

My style is warm, open, and conversational. I want you to feel like you can be yourself, talk honestly, and not feel judged. I don't believe therapy should look the same for everyone — depending on what you need, we may talk things through, use breathing or grounding techniques, music, reflection, coping skills, or even a little homework if you're open to it. I draw from a blend of CBT, client-centered, narrative, solution-focused, and mindfulness-based approaches, because I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to help you recognize patterns in your thoughts and behaviors, explore new perspectives, and figure out changes that feel meaningful and realistic for you.

Who Jennifer is best for:

I most enjoy working with adults, especially women ages 35–55 who are navigating relationship challenges, family conflict, life transitions, self-discovery, and patterns they're ready to understand or change. I'm also very drawn to working with teens who feel misunderstood or unheard, or are struggling with family relationships, identity, or finding their voice — it's an area I'm still growing in, but one I feel pulled toward.

A little more about Jennifer:

I really value being honest, respectful, and meeting people without judgment. I want clients to feel like they can be real with me, even when life feels messy. I also believe progress doesn't always look perfect; sometimes it's a big step forward, sometimes a small one, sometimes it feels like a step backward, and there's something to learn in all of it.

If you're reading this and wondering whether you have to have it all figured out before starting therapy, you don't. You can come as you are, and we can start from there.

Beyond the office

Outside of therapy, I'm a mom, and I enjoy music, wellness, staying active, and anything that supports personal growth. I'm a big believer that it's never too late to make changes, start over, or create a life that feels more like you. I provide services in English and welcome clients from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences, including conversations around culture, spirituality, faith, family, and personal values when those matter to you.
