Creating a Safe Space for Healing, Growth & Transformation

About Isabel Cortez

Isabel Cortez LPC-Associate, NCC

Hi, I'm Isabel — I'm so glad you're here.

Taking the step to reach out for support isn't always easy, and I want you to know that whatever brought you to this page, you don't have to carry it alone. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, respected, and free to be yourself, without judgment, without pressure to have it all figured out.

Who I Work With

I love working with adults in their late teens through their twenties and early thirties (18–30) who are navigating:

  • Anxiety that feels like it's running the show

  • Low self-esteem and the inner critic that won't quiet down

  • Life transitions — new careers, relationships, cities, identities, or seasons of "who am I now?"

  • Postpartum depression and the complicated feelings that can come with new parenthood

  • Men navigating mental health — especially the stigma and pressure that can make it hard to even ask for help in the first place

  • Members of the LGBTQ+ community looking for a therapist who gets it and won't make you explain the basics

If any of this sounds familiar, I'd love to work with you.

My Approach

My path to becoming a therapist started in the classroom and in ABA therapy rooms, working directly with kids and teens on building skills, confidence, and connection. That experience — plus my internship supporting students through crisis and everyday struggles in a school setting — taught me how to really listen, and how healing happens best in relationships built on trust, not judgment.

I draw from CBT and DBT-informed skills, blending practical, evidence-based tools with a warm, collaborative style. I'm not interested in handing you a worksheet and calling it a day — I want to understand your story and build a plan that actually fits your life.
