Helping you find balance, healing, and purpose.
It's Time to Get Back to You.
You've spent so much of your life taking care of everyone else—your family, your career, your relationships, and your responsibilities. Somewhere along the way, you may have stopped making space for yourself. If you're feeling overwhelmed, constantly anxious, emotionally exhausted, or wondering where the version of yourself you once knew has gone, you're not alone. Therapy can help you slow down, reconnect with who you are, and begin creating a life that feels more balanced, peaceful, and fulfilling.
At Pathway to Inner Healing Counseling, we specialize in helping high-achieving women, working moms, mompreneurs, and individuals navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, postpartum challenges, and life transitions. Led by Dr. Norma S. Reyes, PhD, LPC-S, our team of compassionate, culturally responsive therapists believes healing begins with feeling truly seen, heard, and understood. We combine evidence-based therapy with a warm, collaborative, and holistic approach that empowers you to move beyond simply coping toward living with greater intention, confidence, and joy.
Because healing often extends beyond the individual, we also provide therapy for children (10+), teens, adults, couples, and families. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, your relationship, or your family, we'll meet you where you are and walk alongside you every step of the way. We proudly offer in-person therapy from our welcoming office in Schertz, Texas—serving clients from Cibolo, Selma, Universal City, Converse, Marion, and the surrounding Northeast San Antonio communities—as well as secure virtual therapy throughout Texas.
We believe quality mental health care should be accessible and straightforward. Our clinicians accept a variety of insurance plans, including Aetna, Cigna/Evernorth, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, and Curative, depending on the provider. We also offer affordable private pay options for clients seeking greater flexibility, privacy, or personalized care. If you don't see your insurance listed, contact us, we're happy to verify your benefits and help you find the therapist and payment option that's the best fit for your needs.
Whether this is your first experience with therapy or you're returning after time away, our hope is that you'll find more than just support here. We hope you'll find a place where you can exhale, rediscover yourself, and believe that meaningful change is possible.

About Dr. Norma Reyes
A Safe Space for Healing, Clarity & Reconnection
Hi, I’m Dr. Norma Reyes — a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor (LPC-S) dedicated to providing a safe, supportive space for adults to explore their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. I specialize in helping high-achieving women, working moms, mompreneurs, and first-generation professionals move through anxiety, burnout, generational patterns, family dynamics, and life transitions with compassion, clarity, and practical support.
My passion lies in helping clients move out of survival mode and into a more grounded, intentional way of living—where you feel more connected to yourself, your needs, and the life you’re building.
As a bilingual therapist fluent in English and Spanish, I am honored to serve people of color and diverse communities with deep respect, cultural humility, and understanding. Whether you’re seeking in-person therapy near Schertz and Cibolo, Texas, or virtual counseling anywhere across the state, I’m here to support you in creating meaningful, sustainable change.
My Approach to Therapy
I believe therapy should feel like a collaborative space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin to reconnect with yourself.
Evidence-Informed & Practical Support: I integrate Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Strength-Based approaches to help you build insight, emotional regulation, and practical tools for everyday life.
Holistic & Reflective Healing: For clients who desire a deeper level of exploration, I also incorporate holistic and meaning-centered practices that support self-awareness, intuition, and personal growth in a way that feels aligned and grounded.
Clinical Training & Foundation: I hold a Doctorate in Adult, Professional, & Community Education from Texas State University and a Master’s in Counseling from Texas A&M University–San Antonio.
Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, redefining success, healing from long-standing patterns, or simply trying to feel like yourself again, I am here to support you in building a life that feels more balanced, connected, and aligned with who you truly are.
Integrative & Intuitive Tools
In addition to evidence-based therapeutic approaches, I also honor the role that meaning-making, reflection, and personal belief systems can play in the healing process. Emerging research in psychotherapy and clinical practice supports the integration of culturally responsive and meaning-centered approaches—including reflective and symbolic practices—when they are used ethically and in alignment with a client’s worldview. For some individuals, these holistic and intuitive tools can offer an additional layer of insight, grounding, and self-awareness, especially during times of transition, uncertainty, or personal growth.
These approaches are always optional and are only used when they align with your values, comfort level, and goals for therapy. All tools and interventions are used within the scope of my clinical training and ethical practice standards, and are never imposed. When appropriate, they are integrated in a collaborative and supportive way to enhance clarity, insight, and emotional understanding.
How These Tools May Be Incorporated
Reflective Use of Moon Cycles
For some clients, moon phases may be used as a symbolic framework for reflection, helping support intention-setting, emotional awareness, or the process of letting go of patterns that no longer feel helpful.
Astrology for Self-Understanding (Optional)
When aligned with a client’s interest and belief system, a birth chart may be used as a reflective and narrative tool to explore emotional patterns, relational dynamics, and personal strengths. This is used strictly for insight and self-reflection, not prediction, diagnosis, or decision-making.
Grounding & Ritual-Based Practices
When clients are experiencing stress, overwhelm, or emotional disconnection, we may incorporate grounding strategies such as breathwork, journaling, visualization, or reflective tools (such as card pulls) to support emotional regulation and reconnection with self.
Seasonal & Cyclical Awareness
We may also explore how seasonal shifts, life phases, and natural cycles can influence mood, energy, and emotional patterns, supporting greater self-awareness and intentional self-care.
A Note on Integrative Practices
These tools are never required and are only incorporated when they feel supportive, meaningful, and aligned with your personal values. Therapy always remains grounded in your goals, your comfort, and your well-being. My role is to provide clinically sound options rooted in training and ethical practice—not direction—so that your healing process feels safe, empowering, and fully your own.
