Creating a Safe Space for Healing, Growth & Transformation
Hi, I'm Dr. Norma Reyes.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor (LPC-S), first-generation Mexican American, educator, and the founder of Pathway to Inner Healing Counseling group practice.
I know what it's like to carry a lot. To be the one everyone depends on. To strive for success while quietly wondering when you'll finally have time to care for yourself. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected from who they once were. They've spent so much time caring for others, meeting expectations, and simply getting through each day that they've forgotten what it feels like to truly slow down and ask, "What do I need?"
That question matters.
I believe healing begins when we create space to be honest with ourselves—without judgment, without pressure, and without feeling like we have to have everything figured out. Therapy isn't about becoming someone new; it's about reconnecting with the person you've always been underneath the stress, anxiety, responsibilities, and self-doubt.
When we work together, you'll find a space where you can laugh, cry, ask difficult questions, celebrate your progress, and simply be yourself. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I'll help you better understand what's keeping you stuck, develop tools you can use outside of session, and support you as you create a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and aligned with your values.
As a bilingual therapist fluent in English and Spanish, I'm honored to work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and to provide care that is culturally responsive, affirming, and respectful of each person's unique experiences.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, burnout, motherhood, a major life transition, or simply feeling ready to invest in yourself, I'm grateful you're here. It would be a privilege to walk alongside you as you move from surviving to living with greater clarity, confidence, and peace.
I provide in-person therapy in Schertz, Texas, and virtual therapy for clients throughout Texas.
I look forward to meeting you.
About Dr. Norma Reyes
My Professional Background
I earned a Ph.D. in Adult, Professional, and Community Education from Texas State University and a Master's degree in Counseling from Texas A&M University–San Antonio. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Texas, providing therapy to adults and clinical supervision for LPC Associates pursuing independent licensure.
I believe that great therapists are lifelong learners. In addition to my formal education, I have completed advanced training in clinical hypnosis and trauma-informed care and continue to expand my knowledge through specialized training in integrative and holistic approaches to healing, including yoga and energy-based practices.
My work is grounded in evidence-based therapy while honoring the connection between the mind, body, emotions, and personal beliefs. Every intervention I use is informed by professional training and tailored to each client's unique goals, values, and preferences. My goal is to provide care that is compassionate, culturally responsive, and thoughtfully integrated to support lasting healing and personal growth.

My Therapy Approach
I believe therapy should feel like a conversation where you can finally exhale—a space where you don't have to carry everything on your own. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, navigating a major life transition, struggling with burnout, or trying to reconnect with yourself, my goal is to help you feel seen, understood, and supported from the very first session.
Our work together is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique experiences and goals. I won't tell you how to live your life, but I will help you better understand yourself, explore what's keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools that support meaningful, lasting change. Many clients tell me they leave their first session feeling lighter, more hopeful, and with strategies they can begin using right away.
My clinical approach integrates Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Strengths-Based interventions. I also offer an integrative, holistic perspective that honors the connection between the mind, body, emotions, and personal beliefs, incorporating additional reflective practices when they align with a client's values and goals.
I primarily work with adults ages 25 and older, especially high-achieving women, working moms, mompreneurs, and first-generation professionals who are ready to move beyond survival mode and create a life that feels more balanced, intentional, and authentic.
As a bilingual therapist fluent in English and Spanish, I strive to create a culturally responsive space where you feel fully seen, respected, and supported—in both language and lived experience.
A Little More About Dr. Norma Reyes
Outside of the therapy room, I'm a proud mom of four who understands the beauty, challenges, and constant balancing act that comes with caring for others while trying not to lose yourself in the process.
I enjoy spending time outdoors, running (I've completed a marathon and several half marathons), journaling, and finding moments of quiet reflection. I'm also passionate about lifelong learning and exploring holistic practices that deepen self-awareness and personal growth. For those who share these interests, I appreciate the wisdom found in moon cycles, astrology, and other reflective practices as meaningful tools for insight—not as answers, but as invitations to better understand ourselves.
At the heart of everything I do is the belief that healing happens when we create space to be honest with ourselves, reconnect with what matters most, and remember that we don't have to navigate life's challenges alone.
